Made for Die-Cutting 3M™ Double Coated Tape 9578 is a 4.0 mil double coated tape constructed on a hand-tearable translucent polypropylene carrier coated on both sides with 3M™ Adhesive 400. The thin, tough, polypropylene carrier between the adhesive layers improves the handling and strength of the tape. A hard, smooth 54 lb. densified kraft Paper release liner provides reliable performance for industrial applications like die-cutting and automated dispensers. It works exceptionally well in low Temperatures, with an operating range of -60º to 250ºF (-51ºC to 121ºC). It provides medium adhesion to metals, HSE and LSE plastics, and foam, and shows medium resistance to chemical environments. It also stands up well to humidity. Recommended Applications
3M™ Adhesive 400 is a medium-firm pressure sensitive acrylic adhesive system. It features an excellent balance of good initial adhesion (quick stick) and good shear holding power. Shear strength is the measure of pull force directed across the bonded surface, forcing the two surfaces to slide over each other. Bringing Better Ideas to the Surface through Science and Innovation In our 3M™ Industrial Adhesives and Tapes Division, we apply the science of adhesion to deliver innovative solutions that improve the design and manufacturing processes of companies around the world. In the end, our technologies help customers like you deliver competitive products to the market faster and more efficiently. |
