Made for Die-Cutting 3M™ Double Coated Tape 9578 is a 4.0 mil double coated tape constructed on a hand-tearable translucent polypropylene carrier coated on both sides with 3M™ Adhesive 400. The thin, tough, polypropylene carrier between the adhesive layers improves the handling and strength of the tape. A hard, smooth 54 lb. densified kraft Paper release liner provides reliable performance for industrial applications like die-cutting and automated dispensers. It works exceptionally well in low Temperatures, with an operating range of -60º to 250ºF (-51ºC to 121ºC). It provides medium adhesion to metals, HSE and LSE plastics, and foam, and shows medium resistance to chemical environments. It also stands up well to humidity. Recommended Applications
3M™ Adhesive 400 is a medium-firm pressure sensitive acrylic adhesive system. It features an excellent balance of good initial adhesion (quick stick) and good shear holding power. Shear strength is the measure of pull force directed across the bonded surface, forcing the two surfaces to slide over each other. Long-Lasting Performance Our 3M™ Double Coated Film Tape 9589 is a 9.0 mil double coated tape with a high tack synthetic rubber adhesive on a high density polyethylene (HDPE) carrier. 3M™ Adhesive 760 provides excellent quick stick and bonds together a wide variety of materials, with a build-up over 24 hours that allows for proper placement of bonded materials. It features excellent adhesion to both high surface energy and low surface energy substrates and is an excellent choice for many indoor and room Temperature applications such as carpet installation. The HDPE carrier adds dimensional stability to aid in removal while also providing easier handling during slitting, lamination and die cutting, and it tears by hand for quick and easy application. The tape is mounted on a 3.7 mil 62 lb. densified kraft Paper liner which has been specially treated to improve strength and removability from high internal strength surfaces. This tape can withstand short-term Temperatures of up to 200ºF. Recommended Applications

An Easy-to-Process Tape for Tough Applications 3M™ Double Coated Tape 9795 is a 5.7 mil PET tape designed for application and use in a range of Temperatures. This tape features a .5 mil polyester film carrier which delivers excellent handling during processing such as slitting, die-cutting and laminating. The face side is coated with 2.8 mils and the back side with 2.3 mils of 3M™ Adhesive 420, which is excellent for applications such as bonding bezels, cover lenses and electronic components. This adhesive delivers very high impact resistance, initial adhesion, and exceptional Temperature resistance. A 4 mil, 58-lb. polycoated kraft printed liner adds stability for efficient processing such as die-cutting. Recommended Applications
3M™ Adhesive 420 is a medium firm acrylic adhesive that provides good adhesion to metals and medium surface energy (MSE) plastics such as polycarbonate, ABS, acrylic and polyimide. It delivers excellent Temperature resistance in tough application environments, with an operating Temperature of up to 250 ºF/121 ºC and short-term Temperature resistance up to 300 ºF/149 ºC. It also bonds at Temperatures as low as 32 ºF/0 ºC, and provides impact resistance. About Double Coated Tape In general, double coated tape is composed of a Paper, film or tissue carrier that is coated on both sides with pressure sensitive adhesive. The adhesive is protected by a peel-away liner that can be removed at the time of application or left in place until the joining surfaces are ready to be attached. These tapes can be applied by hand or with a dispenser. Double coated tape dispensers are available in a variety of configurations ranging from manual to fully automatic. Applications for double coated tape are found in construction, fabrication, arts and hobbies.
